Rhea Lana’s, the nation’s leading consignment event venue, has been recognized as a finalist in the Progress 2020 Website of the Year contest in the “Consumer Goods and Services” category. This international competition honors websites that provide the best user experience and innovation inside the Sitefinity Content Management System (CMS). Winners of the Website of the Year contest will be selected based on public votes. Voting goes through May 1 on Progress’ website and only one vote per user per category will count.
Working with Team SI, an award-winning digital marketing agency, Rhea Lana’s launched its Sitefinity website in June 2019 with the goal of increasing its website users and time spent on its site. Many users get information on Rhea Lana’s pop-up retail events through social media, so the company wanted to provide this information on its new site to attract users and keep them on the site longer.
With the Sitefinity CMS, Rhea Lana’s has flexibility in updating its robust event calendar and website users have the ability to search and filter consignment events with ease. The website’s auto-detect location feature instantly shows a user information and upcoming events for the nearest franchise. If the franchise does not have upcoming events, then the next four closest franchises with events are displayed.
“We love that the website design and usability are tailored to our target audience,” said Rhea Lana Riner, founder and namesake of Rhea Lana’s. “From nationwide events to our blog, it enables busy parents to quickly find what they’re searching for. The design is complex and simplistic all at the same time. It’s perfect for helping visitors feel comfortable while on our website.”
Since launching the new website, Rhea Lana’s experienced an increase in users, website sessions, page views and time spent on its website. It has also gained increased traffic to its blog.
“One of the goals of the redesign and re-engineering of the Rhea Lana’s website was to make it easy to update and maintain the website,” said Alex Hood, Team SI’s chief technology officer. “We chose Sitefinity because of the ease of use it offers to our clients. We also wanted to make sure that as Rhea Lana’s grows the website could also grow and offer more features in the future. We are so excited that our client has been recognized in this global contest!”
When deciding the finalists, Progress factored in a website’s visual design, content, layout, navigation, innovation, complexity and significance.
The winners receive industry recognition and awareness through Progress, additional website traffic, an opportunity for a joint success story with Progress, a physical award, a special digital badge and more. This is the third year that a Team SI client has been recognized as a finalist in the competition.
