LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Nov. 3, 2015) – Team SI, a Little Rock-area digital marketing firm, announced on Tuesday that Alex Hood, formerly a senior developer, will be the company’s chief technology officer, responsible for driving an expansion of services as the agency continues growth that landed it on the 2015 Inc. 500 list of fastest growing businesses.

“We’re fortunate to have talented individuals like Alex working in Arkansas,” said Tim Whitley, Team SI president and CEO. “Team SI is committed to developing and maintaining talent here at home when many could easily find success in tech hubs like Silicon Valley or Austin, Texas. Many companies are going to those places when they are looking to hire personnel.”
Hood’s promotion positions the firm to offer a wider range of innovative tech solutions beyond website development, such as a suite of custom-built analytics tools now available to clients. The technology staff is increasing by five, deepening even further the well of local talent at Team SI, Whitley said.
“In two years, our tech department might only be doing 50 percent website development and the other 50 percent is set up to be left for us to invent,” he said. “That is key to staying true to our brand ‘Innovation Lives Here.’ We don’t want to just build ‘stuff’ or hire staff when something becomes a trend – we want to build the trends.”
Hood, who’s been working with the company since 2011, said he’s eager to take on his new role as chief technology officer.
“I’ve had a chance to be a part of some excellent client projects so far,” Hood said. “I look forward to what the future holds as we expand our offerings at Team SI.”
The expansion comes on the heels of several noteworthy accomplishments for Team SI. Earlier this year, Team SI was named a Google All-Star, competing against 14,000 agencies worldwide for one of 200 spots. Whitley was listed among the Arkansas Business 40 Under 40 list while Wes Hymer, vice president of the firm’s automotive division was named to the publication’s 20 in their 20s.
To earn a ranking on the Inc. 500 list, a company must have generated revenue of at least $100,000 in 2011 and at least $2 million in 2014. Team SI increased revenue and employee growth 16 times in three years. Today the agency serves 190 clients in 32 states. Among those clients are: Department of Arkansas Heritage, CHI St. Vincent, Greenway Equipment, Hank's Furniture, Le Bonheur Children's, Steve Landers Auto Group and UALR. Read More »

People have always been protective over their favorite colors since childhood, so it’s no wonder that brands aren’t just as possessive over their colors. Brands and labels should mark their territories with color choices that speak to the brand’s personality and targeted consumers. Read More »
