Here at Team SI, we are all about innovation! We don't believe in a one-size fits all strategy. We look for unique individuals who are just as passionate as we are about innovating the future. Meet SEO strategist, Jackson Carter! He started out as an intern and we decided we didn't want him to leave. He has been with us for over a year now helping our clients reach their fullest potential using search engine optimization!
What is a typical day for you at Team SI?
A typical day for me starts out with reading ranking reports, SEO industry news, or diving into our JIRA board to see what needs to be done. Often times, I’m writing reports, preparing recommendations, or working with someone to create SEO strategies for clients.
What does the word “team” mean to you?
To me, team means a group of people collaborating to achieve a common goal. For us, that means providing our clients the best service possible. The amazing thing about our team is that there are so many things going on for each client, with people in all sorts of areas and we are able to work together effectively to produce great end results.
What is your current favorite TV show?
My current favorite show is probably Brooklyn Nine-Nine. I’m a big fan of goofy shows.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Charleston, South Carolina. I love the city, the food and the fact that it’s on the coast.
Are you a morning or night person? Why?
Morning person. Once I’m awake, I’m on the move and ready to go.
What is your favorite memory?
My favorite memory is a pretty recent one. I got married this past May and that was just an absolutely great day all around.
What was your background prior to joining Team SI?
Team SI has been my first “real” job since I had been in graduate school prior to coming on; however, I have a background in media, with experience in broadcasting and new media. Before I was here, I was a graduate student at UALR where I got my master’s degree in mass communication.
Are you a dog or a cat person?
Dog person. 100 percent. I grew up around dogs and I’m a proud dog dad of a two-year-old rescue named Mia.
